The Mark(ings) of Zorro
"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."
H.L. Mencken

by El Zorro Viejo (aka; Jim)

I'm in (for want of a better word) love....

I've fallen in love with one of my fellow (and I stretch my own offerrings to include myself in his company) bloggers. Fred Clark, who blogs under the title of Slacktivist comments through the written word with a clarity and perception that I can only wish for. I am old enough to be his father, and I would be so proud to be just that.

All I can do is urge one and all to read what this man has written over the past three (mol) years. God! If I could express my thoughts even a couple of orders of magnitude less elegantly than he does, I would be content with what I write. Fred stands as a beacon and a model towards which I aspire. I would love to meet him in person, kick back with a couple beers (or whatever) and talk for a long time. That would be time well spent.
