What is interesting is that I seem to have taken pretty much the entire month of August off from posting. Well, that's not entirely true...I did post over on LiveJournal a few times, but it seems that I didn't do too much writing during August. My excuse for the past two weeks is that I am learning how to deal with the demands of a digital camera. With digital cameras one tends to take a huge number of photographs because if, in the sober light of looking at the pictures on your computer's monitor, you decide you don't like a shot...phhhffft! with a push of a key it is gone. Plus, there is all the editing of shots (a little lighter here, a little softer there...) AND then you have to rename each saved picture from the numerical file name scheme of the camera to something a little more user friendly. I've been doing all of the above with and on the pictures I brought back from the Adirondacks on the 23rd of August. Hopefully, I'll have them all organized and edited by Labor Day...then all I'll have to do is upload 'em someplace. However, I am back at the keyboard and will be posting more and more now that the campaign is kicking off in ernest.
