The Mark(ings) of Zorro
"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."

by El Zorro Viejo (aka; Jim)

What's wrong with this; an ongoing examination of things that offend me.

A blog I enjoy, Big Time Patriot, has this to say about corporations who move their headquarters offshore and then continue to do their primary business inside the US while paying fewer taxes. Personally, I think this sucks. It should, therefore, be possible to create a tax code that would penalize, rather than reward, companies who moved their headquarters offshore. I don't want to penalize legitimate foriegn companies which bring new jobs into this country, but I do want homegrown companies who see profit as more important than their employees and the communities they are part of to be forcefully reminded about where their priorities should lie.
