More ruminations, rambles, rants and raves from the downhill side of the mountain.

And what sucks is that it wasn't me...*grin* I have to admit that I've been playing the lottery on a more regular basis as this jackpot crept up in size. This is the current story about One Person Wins Record $290M Jackpot - EarthLink - Top News, and I would bet that we never find out who this person is. God knows that I would move heaven and earth to make sure that my name stayed as much out of the public eye on this as possible. I would have my lawyer, accountant and banker working overtime to make me as totally anonymous as possible. I would also have them working overtime to make sure that 1) I get as much of the jackpot as I can and 2)that I don't spend anymore than a fraction of the income every year. Most of it would go into a foundation which would provide grants for various (in my opinion) worthwhile things. Oh well, I hope the person who did win uses it wisely and well. Now, I gotta go buy a ticket for next Tuesday's drawing; it's only a $10 million pot, but...what the hell...
