The Mark(ings) of Zorro
"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."

In case you haven't read about it elsewhere

Here is a link to a site titled Deserter which is about Mr. Bush's military career--or lack thereof. If you haven't stumbled across it elsewhere, here is a place to see some of the actual source material. It certainly does appear that Mr. Bush was somewhat cavalier in his approach to military service. Seems his view was that as long as it did not interfere with the other parts of his life and as long as there was just about zero chance that he would ever have actually get shot at, then he'd play soldier one weekend a month. This is not how either the Reserves or the National Guard is supposed to work.

This is just another reason why George Bush should be sent packing in November.
