I had a day off today. This was the first weekend day I've had off in at least two or three months. So, what did I do? Yard work. I got most of the rest of the leaves I didn't rake last winter rounded up and put in clear plastic bags for the nice city public works crew to pick up. I am determined this year to get the yard ready for spring. Seems this is not something I'm doing alone, however. Up the road a bit from the the Proprietor was also out working in his yard this weekend. Spring arrives next Saturday, and this yard will be ready. Tomorrow the granddaughter and I are going to make a trip to the toy store to buy a hedge trimmer. I can't face another year without one!
