In my last post I mentioned that I had a couple of other sites I was toying with. My thought is to split my output between them according to content. I am leaning towards putting general stuff here, blatantly political posts on "Fair and Balanced Journal" and some of my *creative* efforts on my Diaryland site. I think this will work, but it will entail changing the links on here to add a new category (My Other Blogs--or something similar). That is the current plan. I hope to get my new links up today, but not until after I get to replace some worn out electrical sockets in various rooms in the house. *sigh* This means a trip to the basement to study the electrical box to see if I can figure out which runs have which sockets...wouldn't want to electrocute myself. It is now some five hours later. I have been to the Toy Store (aka Home Depot) where I purchased all manner of electrical hardware. Upon arriving at home, I went to work and now, as I said, some five hours later, I have switched out 7 electrical outlets. For the most part, things went fairly smoothly except for having to run up and down stairs to open and close circuit breakers. The only little problem was that I didn't break off the little tab between the two brass contacts thus screwing up the switched plugs. However, I did finally figure out what I had done, and now everything works as it should. The upside is that we can now plug things into those seven sockets without having the plugs then fall back out on their own accord. In addition to the contractor grade pack of 10 sockets, I also purchased more hardware for the coming rewiring of the workshop. This is going to involved putting up at least four flourescent lighting fixtures and running a 12-outlet circuit for power tools along the front of my workbench. Trust me, it's going to be cool!
