The pool liner went in last Thursday (the day before the 4th); they finished their installation work on Saturday (could have come Friday, but...it was the 4th) except for the 4" section that did not stay in the track and for which they have to come back only they probably won't show up until their work load eases; I finally finished filling the pool and doing all the other "opening the pool" stuff Wednesday--that means I figured out where all the drain plugs went, put the nozzles in the inlet jets, cleaned out the skimmer and removed that plug, fixed the two leaking pipe joints and installed the automatic chlorinator and went for the first swim in two years. So, today dawns and the temps stay in the 60s all day! Where is the summer heat? Driving home from work this evening, it felt like early fall rather than high summer. I was afraid this was going to happen, though. I feel like that character in the old Li'l Abner cartoons: the one who went around with his own personal little cloud over his head. *sigh*
