The Mark(ings) of Zorro
"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."
H.L. Mencken

Yesterday, because the rains came and it was cold and generally nasty, the store was packed. I didn't stop for almost the full 8 hours. By the time the crowds finally went home, the place was a wreck! I spent from 9:30 to midnight putting things back to where they belong. All in all, it was a two "black-eye" night (a "black-eye is a shot of espresso in your mug of Starbucks coffee...at least that's what it is at Barnes & Noble...), but that, of course, meant that I didn't get to sleep until well after 2 am. Consequently, I'm moving a little slow this morning.

This morning. This morning dawned bright and beautiful. The sun is shining and there is not a cloud in the sky. Mother Nature is a perverse, fickle bitch! And the baby should be showing up any moment, so I have to get busy with her breakfast. I think it's a hoot that she eats most of her meals here with Granddad. Well, gotta run ('cause she moves pretty quickly these days).
