Damn! My little Dulce took a fall today while in my care. Got a bloody lip/mouth. I was distraught! Of course, after my Love (who literally walked in the door one minute after the fall) and I had staunched the blood and she (Dulce) had stopped screaming, it turned out that it was not all that bad after all. We'll have to call the kids tomorrow to make sure that her lip hasn't swollen to alarming proportions. This was the first real accident under my watch, and I was not at all happy about it. Goes to show you that, no matter what the head knows, the heart reacts in an entirely different way. *sigh* She is so sweet! I hate to see the cruel, hard world intrude into her (as yet) protected life.
