The Mark(ings) of Zorro
"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."
H.L. Mencken

Gah! Prunes!

Well, it's official: Memorial Day Weekend here in New Joisey is pretty much a bust. Today has been cold and wet, and the same is promised until this coming Tuesday. On the one hand, it is good since neither the pool nor the A/C has been seen to yet. On the other hand, it is a drag since we have yet to be able to eat a meal out on the patio nor have we done any but the most rudimentary yard work for the past three weeks. The place is going to hell in a hand basket--and mould is forming on the patio furniture. I am sending in a formal request to have Seattle take back its weather!

And now it's off to work. Good: I am working both today and tomorrow so, in one way, I don't really care if the weather sucks...
