The Mark(ings) of Zorro
"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."
H.L. Mencken

Complications

Although one might wish for a simpler time when things weren't nearly so dire, it is not to be. I have reached my first goals of this new career, and now I have to learn how to really sell books. Up until now, I've been nothing more than a sales clerk. From this point on, I'm going to have responsibility for maintaining proper inventory for a zone in the store. I'll be responsible for computers, travel, business, science, nature and pets. It is going to mean a lot more work and considerable study as I learn how to merchandise my books. I expect to be at this level for a couple years as I learn the business and move up the seniority ladder. My next goal is a strong evaluation in October. That'll keep me on course...

And that qualifies as a daily entry 'cause I haven't gone to bed yet. Not earthshaking, but at least I am keeping to the discipline.
