The Mark(ings) of Zorro
"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."
H.L. Mencken

Mea Culpa

I can't believe that I haven't written anything in soooo long. I had an excuse between the 24th and the 1st (a housefull of kids--relatively speaking since they are all in their {gasp} thirties now.) But since then my problem has been one of inertia rather than lack of time to write. I can say that I have started a couple entries, but, for one reason or another, they have all died before making to this space.

I just wanted to let people know that I am still here and that there will be new posts in the near future. A late New Years resolution will be to post something here every day (excepting days I am away from my computer) even if it's only a line or two. We'll see how that works over the next few weeks.
