OK, I didn't specifically tell her not to mess with the cable box, but, then, she hardly ever uses that TV. So tonight, when I had the VCR set to record 24, this is the night she picks to watch something on that set. I get home from a hard night selling books (OK, so it's not that hard...) and I'm all set for an hour (less commercials) of one of the better shows on TV, and what am I greated with? Football! I taped an hour of the Jets/Raiders game. This is not what I was looking forward to. So, tomorrow I tell her that, on nights when I'm working, she is to assume that I have that TV set to record something. There are only a few shows I have any interest in taping (West Wing, 24 and, maybe, Alias), but, unless I make this a regular thing, odds are that I'd come home to this situation fairly often. However, it was my fault since I didn't communicate my need for her not to change the channel on the cable box. Live and learn...I will not make this mistake again.
