Oops, I can see where this could become a true ego trip--the stuff I'm getting from Sitemeter, I mean. I have had two visitors who are not me today! I'm thrilled! I'm more than thrilled, I'm inspired. As long as I see people reading my stuff, I'm gonna be much more regular about posting. As for the ego trip part, when one sees (eek, palindrome!) that one's work is being read, one is charged. On the other hand, should days and/or weeks go by with nobody but yours truly visiting the site the ego suffers some more of life's slings and arrows. Maybe "trip" is not quite the right word. Maybe the word I'm looking for is "rollercoaster". Yeah, that's more like it... Aside: Damn, I've been using IM too much lately. I almost put some emoticoms (or variants thereof) in the above post. I promise that I won't subject my readers to that. If you catch me doing that, don't hesitate to call me on it, OK? OK.
