The Mark(ings) of Zorro
"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."
H.L. Mencken

A Bad, Bad Day at Blackrock

I'm tempted to change to whole color scheme here to black. I'm in mourning. I'm grieving over the death of the Democrat Party. That horrible debacle yesterday/last night pretty much puts the finishing nails in the coffin. The leadership of the party is moribund, as plainly shown by both the national and local results from across the nation. So, rather than rant and rave about the results from last night, I thought I'd reflect upon what brought the party to this sad estate.

Of course, having La Dulce crawling around my feet might make it a little difficult to do this in a single post. Therefore, I ask you to bear with me as I break this into a number of short posts. That'll let me take care of things like the fact that she has just opened one of my file drawers and I need to go rescue the contents before she starts emptying the damn thing. Will be back in a bit with my first snippet(s).
